Ross Butler is officially joining the cast of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before 2 and we’ve probably never been more excited for a movie sequel in our entire lives.
The 13 Reasons Why actor took to Instagram to share a picture of him and Noah Centineo hanging out on set, which is a good indication that he’ll be perfect in the role of Peter Kavinsky’s best friend, Trevor Pike.
He captioned the image: “Casual business calls. But yeah, we’re making a movie. No joke #TATBILB2,” with producer Matt Kaplan confirming that the news wasn’t an April Fool in a recent statement.
“We’re thrilled to announce that the endlessly charming Ross Butler has joined the cast of the To All the Boys sequel as Trevor Pike,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
“His real-life friendship with Noah brings a natural chemistry and great rapport to the set and we can’t wait for fans to see this friendship play out onscreen.”
This comes days after it was revealed that Jordan Fisher has landed the role of John Ambrose McClaren, another recipient of Lara Jean’s love letters who showed up at the end of the last movie clutching a bunch of flowers.
Lana Condor told ELLE: “The first one was with Josh and Peter, but in the second movie it’s going to be a major new character that’s going to challenge Peter quite a bit and fight over me, which is not a bad thing.”
The release date for the second movie hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll keep you updated with any developing details.
